Continuing Resilience with Ayurvedic Tea

A huge part of maintaining our focus on a space of Resilience, and cultivating that growth space for ourselves, is making sure that we are restoring, detoxing, taking a step back to once again check in on that self-care element.

Ayurveda in Sanskrit translates to “the Science of Life” and from this space we look into how we bring elements of our lives into balance. This “Mother of all healing,” is believed to be over 5,000 years old. Though these ancient practices we look at how to bring our doshas into alignment. We will not get into all of that here, please attend a workshop with one of our Ayurvedic practitioners. What we want to do in this space it give ourselves an Ayurvedic detox tea for when we need a moment, or the time to string together some moments.

Ayurvedic Tea:

1/2 tsp cumin seed

1/2 tsp coriander seed

1/2 tsp fennel seed

1 inch granted ginger

1 tbsp honey or jaggery ( gur)

1/4 tsp turmeric

garnish with fresh chamomile flowers if in season – optional

3-4 cups water. You can boil in a pot on the stove, and then strain out the seeds, or for a nuttier flavor, lightly toast the seeds first, then steep them in boiling water.

One of the most beautiful things that we can do for ourselves as we bring March to a close is to take a pause. Reflect on all that we have learned! All that we have accomplished! All that we have taken on! All yourselves to take that pause. April we will be moving our way into Authenticty. And, oh do I think we are ready for it!
