April is all about that Spring Cleaning! Hopefully we are moving out of that cold and into a little warmer days. For many of us that means changing out some wardrobes, cleaning and packing away those heavy blankets and getting ready for something a little bit lighter. For others of us it may mean changing up our diets, our exercise routines, or maybe expanding our scope.
Whatever cleanse you may be in need of, yoga is a great way to clear out the stale, the old, the heavy, and come into a space of lightness and prepare for that sense of newness. AS we often reflect upon, yoga is a process that takes time, so sometimes one pose will feel like it has cleared us out, and other times it will take a little more tapas (burning drive/practice) to feel that sense of cleanse and space.
If you are looking for one posture that is a FANTASTIC one off for clearing out the old and make room for the new is Revolved Triangle or Parivritta Trikonasana. I understand that some of you may be thinking that Triangle or Trikonasana is often a challenge, and may be hesitant to try twisting it up. Parivritta Trikonasana offers a LOT of options to move into this pose as you see fit, all with wonderful benefits.
Coming into Revolved Triangle:
This posture is extremely clearing for the breath, the digestion and the muscles of the body. Give it a try today!
