Shannon began practicing yoga regularly over 25 years ago. In 2005 she went through a yoga teacher training program and became a certified instructor. While she also has a MA in Sociology, she feels that her yoga training has been one of the best education tools in her life. Her desire to continue learning yogic practices is strong and will be a life long pursuit. She lives locally with her husband, daughter, pets and plants. Her classes focus on using the breath to guide movements in a meditative and restorative way. She focuses on functional movement to enhance mobility, strengthen and lengthen muscles, while working to quiet the mind. Her classes include asana, breath-work, and meditative practices.
