Shannon began practicing yoga regularly over 20 years ago. In 2005 she went through yoga teacher training at Namaste in Royal Oak, MI. She also has a MA in Sociology from New Mexico State University. She lives locally with her husband, daughter and 2 cats. Her classes focus on using the breath to guide the movements in a meditative and restorative way. She focuses on functional movement to strengthen and lengthen muscles while working to quiet the mind. Her classes include asana, breath-work, and meditative practices.

My favorite asana… Trikonasana (triangle) it is a wonderful whole body stretch which just feels good!
