RYT-300

RYT-300 Comprehensive Approach Teacher Training

Verapose Yoga, a registered Yoga Alliance Teacher Training School, is offering an advanced Comprehensive Approach RYT-300 Teacher Training for certified RYT-200 Yoga Instructors.  Eligible students will have completed all the requirements for a 200-Hour Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher Training Program.


This Program is spread over the course of a year with 6 mandatory weekends (20 hours each), 30 non-contact hours (6 hours Philosophy HW & 24 hours Practicum research), two final projects (Practicum – 30 hours, more details below), a well as optional weekend modules (totalling 120 hours). Over the 6 weekends, we will cover advanced Anatomy, Hatha Yoga Pradipika, Bhagavad Gita (& Comparison Philosophy with the Yoga Sutras), ethical practices, Meditation techniques, as well as an in-depth approach to the physical practice of yoga or asana. 


The Practicum is a total of 30 contact hours and 24 non-contact hours.  In total, the hours are: 5 hours teaching two final projects to public (topics developed & formulated in weekends 1-3), 10 hours observing a workshop(s) with an E-RYT, 10 hours assisting in a workshop(s) with an E-RYT, 5 hours feedback for two peer projects. 24 non-contact hours are devoted to researching the two projects.

Mandatory Weekend Dates:

Times are 6pm – 9pm on Friday and approximately 8:30am – 5:30pm on Saturday and Sunday with 30-minute lunch breaks and several 10-minute breaks. (This totals 120 hours)

  2. The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali by Sri Swami Satchidananda – ***OR your own version, for comparison purposes
  3. The Hatha Yoga Pradipika by Svatmarama (Author), Brian Dana Akers (Translator)
  4. Trail Guide to the Body: Skeletal System, Joints and Ligaments, Movements of the Body: 4th Edition (or 5th) by Andrew Biel (not workbook)
  5. The Art of Living: Vipassana Meditation by William Hart
  6. Science of Yoga: Understand the Anatomy and Physiology to Perfect Your Practice by Ann Swanson
  7. Resilient: How to Grow an Unshakable Core of Calm, Strength, and Happiness by Rick Hanson Ph.D and Forrest Hanson

Program Tuition:

$4500 regular tuition if paid in full 

$4200 early bird pricing 

$4700 with Payment Plan and a $500 deposit. $394/mo payments for 11 months (with cc fee); we are flexible if you’d like to have less payments within the 12 month period. 

***Additional 3% credit card fee for tuition – we get charged 3.5% for AMEX
