When I signed up for Yoga Teacher Training many moons ago, I had no idea how impactful that decision would be in my life.
It provided me with the tools to cultivate and use my voice.
As a soft-spoken person who happens to love people but detests being in the center of things, this was revolutionary.
To say I was shy growing up is an understatement. I lacked confidence, was awkward and was so nervous when I had to speak in public that someone once asked if I was hard of hearing!
After a few hours of Teacher Training, I even called my husband sobbing, telling him I had made a big mistake by enrolling. Thankfully, I mustered up the confidence to go back even though I was deeply-to-my-core uncomfortable!
Yoga is the science and art of Self-Realization. Diving into this new world gave me profound confidence to stop playing so small, knowing how connected I was to the Universe at large. I was not alone.
This kind of understanding goes way beyond the physical practice of yoga postures (asana), and is the gateway to experiencing oneness.
Through deep meditation, I touched upon the oneness that I’d read and heard about for so long. First-hand experience profoundly alters a person.
There's a very good reason why yoga has been around for thousands of years. What we are doing is not fad. We take teaching the foundation of yoga traditionally very seriously.
Katie and I have joked for years that we never want our Teacher Training to be “haunting” for our students. Instead, our approach is through love and deep trust.
We know our trainees are capable of great things and pave the way for them to experience it first hand. This is their time to shine and to expand into the person and leader they intend to be.
When the comfort zone of layers starts to be addressed, this is where things start getting real interesting: this is go-time for finding that voice of yours. You simply cannot do it on your own; you need a guide/instructor to help you get to this point.
Teacher Training was the single most revolutionary thing I ever did for myself. If you’re ready to expand and evolve and take that next step, we are here to catch you as you jump.
Cheers to approaching life as it’s meant to be lived!
